Our mission is to make the normal day to day life easier! Have you ever gotten locked out of your building? Or maybe you live in an apartment with autolocking doors. Well look no further! The solution to never getting locked out again is right here. Our product is designed to fit on any door. The blocking device is made of a soft rubber like plastic so that it won't damage any part of your door jam. And as always, we appreciate your business! Our origin story: The Door Mate originated when inventor David Sawyer was locked out of his room for the fourth time. Every time he left his room for water or to talk to someone in the lounge, he had to either grab his key or find something to hold the door open. After searching the internet for hours looking for something cheap to make college life easier, he thought of The Door Mate. Following this idea, David contacted his brother, Will, and they designed and began producing The Door Mate. This device attaches easily to any door, just remove the film over the sticky side of The Door Mate and attach it to the door close enough so the arm of the device can reach in between the door and door frame.
